Our Journey

Our story
Founded in 2010 by Pastor Manar Chai, Immanuel Myanmar Church began with a simple vision: to create a spiritual home for Myanmar immigrants, refugees, and families in the United States. From humble beginnings in a home, by God’s grace we have grown together and, in December 2022, were blessed to purchase our own building – a powerful testimony of faith, unity, and God’s faithful provision.

Our Mission
Our mission is to make the love of God known to all people and to share the saving message of Jesus Christ. We strive to live and grow together as a community rooted in faith, hope, and love, standing as salt and light in the world according to God’s perfect will.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be a vibrant spiritual home and a beacon of hope for Myanmar families and immigrants, where everyone experiences the transforming love of God, grows deeply in faith, and finds true belonging as part of a loving church family.
Our Pastor
Pastor Manar Chai is the founder and senior pastor of Immanuel Myanmar Church. With a humble and compassionate heart, he has faithfully led the church for over 15 years, guiding Myanmar families in the Chicago area on their spiritual journey and helping them feel truly at home.
