Myanmar Church
Myanmar Church
Immanuel Myanmar Church (IMC), compassion is not just a feeling — it’s a way of life. We believe that Jesus showed us how to love by meeting real needs, healing the broken, and caring for the vulnerable. Following His example, we actively serve our community with practical love and support.
How We Show Compassion Every Day
-
Welcoming Newcomers — Offering guidance, resources, and friendship to Myanmar immigrants and refugees adjusting to life in the U.S.
-
Supporting Families in Need — Providing help with food, clothing, transportation, or crisis support when life becomes overwhelming.
-
Visiting the Sick & Elderly — Regularly checking in, praying, and offering encouragement to those who are ill or lonely.
-
Community Outreach — Partnering with local organizations to serve those experiencing hardship in the Chicagoland area.
-
Global Compassion — Sending support and aid to suffering communities in Myanmar, especially in areas of need.
We do this because we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” — Matthew 25:40 (NIV)
